Professional Experience and Areas of Concentration
Ryan J. Polk practices in general litigation, with a focus on professional liability and construction litigation. While attending the University of Wyoming College of Law he was a member of the school's regional mock trial competition team, and also particpated in several appellate advocacy competitions. Mr. Polk has argued before courts in Wyoming while representing clients for the University of Wyoming College of Law Defender Aid Program, and assisted in preparing a Federal habeas corpus petition before the Federal Court for the District of Wyoming.
Prior to attending law school, Mr. Polk worked for a major national home builder in Denver as an assistant construction superintendent, a safety coordinator responsible for ensuring that construction projects were undertaken in compliance with OSHA and ANSI safety standards, and as a customer service representative. Mr. Polk is OSHA 10-hour certified and certified by the Colorado Department of Transportation as an Erosion Control Supervisor. Personally, Mr. Polk, a Colorado native, is an avid skier, and spends time volunteering as a youth sports coach.
