Steve Hensen has been actively practicing law in Colorado since becoming licensed in October 1987. He practices in all of the state courts in Colorado, the United States District Court for the District of Colorado, the 10th Circuit Court of Appeals, and he is admitted to practice before the U.S. Supreme Court. He is a past member of the Denver Bar Association Ethics Committee and, since 1995, he has served as a member of the Colorado Supreme Court Bar Committee (which evaluates the moral and ethical fitness of individuals who want to practice law in Colorado). Steve focuses his practice on litigation and trial work. Early in his career, he was involved primarily in commercial litigation matters (involving business disputes, securities law, employment matters and real estate disputes). However, since 1995, he has devoted the majority of his practice to representing physicians, hospitals and allied health professionals in the defense of medical malpractice claims being asserted against them. In the summer of 2004, Steve was voted “Best of the Bar” in medical malpractice defense (as announced by The Denver Business Journal). Steve is known by his peers and clients as an attorney who is intensely dedicated to his clients and ensuring that their needs and objectives are achieved in the most efficient manner possible.
