Professional Experience and Areas of Concentration

Chris Little practices in the field of complex civil litigation, emphasizing professional liability defense, representing attorneys, accountants, architects, real estate agents/brokers, and general contractors in malpractice actions before state and federal courts.  Mr. Little also represents attorneys before the Colorado Supreme Court and its Attorney Regulation Committee.

Mr. Little served as the President for the Denver Bar Association in 2005-2006.  Mr. Little is on the Board of the Colorado Defense Lawyer Association and served as its President in 2005-2006. Mr. Little served in the American Bar Association House of Delegates from 2002-2008. He served as a member of the ABA Lawyers Professional Liability Committee from 2006-2008. He also serves on the Colorado Bar Association Professional Liability Committee. He regularly lectures and publishes in the area of risk management and the avoidance of lawyers' professional liability claims.

Chris Little is actively involved in various community affairs, tutoring children and participating in many philanthropic activities.  He is the past chairperson of the Colorado Bar Association's Public Law Education Committee. In December 2002, he was awarded the Richard Marden Davis Award. This award is given by the Denver Bar Association and the firm of Davis Graham & Stubbs to a young lawyer whose practice combines professional excellence and civic responsibility. In 2001, he was awarded as the Denver Bar Association's Volunteer Attorney of the Year. He has also been distinguished by the Denver Business Journal and received the 40 UNDER 40 Award. He is a trustee to the Colorado Legal Aid Foundation, a past representative of the Colorado Bar Association's Board of Governors, the Colorado Bar Foundation and the American Bar Foundation. He is also AV rated by Martindale-Hubbel and a Colorado Super Lawyer.  He is also a fourth generation Coloradoan.

Before joining the firm of Montgomery Little Soran & Murray, he practiced with Alper & Mann as counsel for the Railway Labor Executives Association and various railroad labor-associated crafts.  In this capacity, he was involved in the drafting and analysis of federal and state legislation and federal regulations.  He was also involved in litigation in all areas affecting railroad labor safety matters, including licensing and certification of locomotive engineers; accident reporting and investigation; maintenance of way, roadside, and bridge safety; grade-crossing maintenance and inspection; alcohol and drug testing; and safety for personnel when transporting hazardous materials.
