Community Involvement

• Montgomery Little Soran & Murray supports Arrupe Jesuit High School, a college preparatory high school which was designed primarily to serve the economically disadvantaged in the city of Denver. The Corporate Work-Study Program is an integral part of the Arrupe education. Each student works one full day a week, five full days a month, at an entry level job to help cover 70% of his/her tuition. Montgomery Little Soran & Murray is proud to be a Corporate Work-Study Program employer. The vast majority of Arrupe students will be the first in their families to attend college.

• The firm was named a 2006 Denver Bar Association Community Action Network (CAN) award winner.  CAN is a Denver Bar Association Committee that does community outreach by providing legal and non-legal services for low income families.  Attorney Chris Little chaired the committee from 1995-1999.  Montgomery Little Soran & Murray has actively participated in many of the CAN events and outreach projects including these recent events:

  • Kids in Need of Dentistry Toothbrush Drive
  • Roll out the Barrels food drive to benefit the Colorado Food Bank
  • Back to school, a school supply drive for low income families
  • Community Outreach Project
  • Courage Classic, a bike tour benefiting Children's Hospital

   

• Montgomery Little Soran & Murray is a proud sponsor of the Zip A De Do at the Zoo event which was held at the Denver Zoo on August 17, 2007.  Chris Little is the Event Committee Chair.  The Zip A De Do at the Zoo benefits the Denver Zoo's Red Apple Scholarship fund.  The Red Apple Scholarship Fund provides access to the Denver Zoo and its many events for low income familes.  The Fund has benefitted more than 85,000 children and adults who have been able to participate in Zoo activities like Zoo Ed-Venture Classes, Young Scientists, Bunk with the Beasts Overnights, and many more.

• In 2006, the firm was awarded the Pro Bono Commitment Achievement Award by the Colorado Supreme Court.  Each year Montgomery Little Soran & Murray commits to perform 50 hours of pro bono legal services for each licensed attorney at the firm.
