John Riley practices in general litigation matters with an emphasis on construction, engineer, architect, and auto accident claims. Mr. Riley’s work experience includes personal injury claims, contract disputes and professional license matters before state licensing agencies. He is AV-Rated by Martindale-Hubbell.

Mr. Riley’s trial and arbitration experience includes more than 30 cases presented to juries, judges, and arbitrators. During a nine-month time period, Mr. Riley had five civil trials including back to back week long jury trials for two separate engineering clients. Mr. Riley’s writing and appellate experience includes appeal briefs and oral arguments to the Colorado Supreme Court, the Colorado Court of Appeals and to the Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals. His appellate work has resulted in fifteen published opinions.

Mr. Riley is a shareholder at Montgomery Little & Soran. He has been the managing partner since 2010. In law school, Mr. Riley was on the Iowa Law Review and served as an associate editor.  He served on the Judicial Performance Commission for the Denver District and County Court. Mr. Riley passed both the Iowa Bar (now inactive) and the Colorado Bar during the same summer following law school.
